Trudvang Legends, for deep down the surface of the world, the ancient home of the Dwarves, Muspelheim

In the subterrain realm of Muspelheim, the caverns and tunnels beneath the surface of Trudvang, the dwarves toil in their mines and forges, crafting tools and weapons, armor and jewelry, all of cunning design and enduring beauty. The greatest kingdom of Muspelheim is Tvologoya, a spanning realm of vast caverns, serpentine tunnels, hidden passages and dimly lit ways.

Tvologoya is divided into three levels, Gydanski, Tvologorad, and Nifulong, and is ruled by Sosira, the greatest of the Dwarf Kings of all Muspelheim. It was Sosira who fortified Bjorvolog, the great gate, by filling lesser passages with stones, and heavily guarding the remaining routes with Sentinels and their outposts. From Bjorvolog one can reach the upper region of Gydanski and the region of Tvolgorad, both rich and prosperous, home to many thousands of dwarves.

Yet, all is not well within Tvologoya. The great cities in Tvolgorad overflow with wealth, while the outer settlements and mines in Gydanski find themselves under siege, attacked, pillaged, and some even enslaved. Once-thrilling settlements echoing with hammer blows on hot forges now stood silent as tombs. Nothing moves there, not even the air.

Some say it is the Mare, a horrid creature of hate and pain, that summons the undead with its very presence. It has long plagued the Blue Ax clan led by Yorn, himself a powerful leader and warrior. He meets often with Sosira, seeking an alliance to hunt down and destroy or banish the mare from these lands forever. They have a plan to deal with the Tursir Ox, a powerful warbeast borne of mysterious magics in the depths of Yetzin. Yet, the Mare alone can not account for the empty treasuries and missing dwarves. There are other forces in the cavernous dark.

Jharuk, on outcast and pariah among dwarves, has come to find heroes to journey with him in the depths and to work towards understanding mysteries. First, you must find Alteric, a renowned bard who may or may not be imprisoned for a little too much ...

Trudvang Legends: Muspelheim is located in Trudvang, in the Dwarven kingdom of Muspelheim, which is represented by a new game board where Heroes below the surface. With the great Bjorvolog gate shut down and the northern cities were under constant attack, it was still a civil war, threatening thousands of dwarves. New enemies, new heroes, and a new campaign await you in Muspelheim!

Trudvang Legends: Muspelheim comes with:

  • 160+ cards
  • 5 Heroes: Jharuk, Dorvid, Yollannii, Alteric, and Morkka
  • 8 Night Ulms

Morkka stands out for his background. Having no memory, Morkka starts the campaign without a defined class. His starting cards feature effects from different classes. As the game unfolds, you'll be able to find out more about his or her story, selecting and combining different types of specials to Morkka. He never wants to take a class, though, and always wants to stay a hybrid in the game. Therefore, you can have Morkka specializing in Rogue and Ranger abilities, for example, and that will not prevent you from joining the party. In general, his abilities are not as strong as the original Classes, however, his flexible pool of cards allows you to customize him according to your and your party's needs!

This all-new, 2-fold game board brings the kingdom of Muspelheim to life! When playing with the Muspelheim campaign, the Muspelheim game board is used alongside the core box's map board. When discovered, new world cards are sleeved in the main Map's regions open to entrances into the dwarven depths.

The Muspelheim game board functions Different from the game board of the surface of Trudvang. Bjorvolog is divided into two parts separated by borders and is divided into two parts separated by the Bjorvolog gate and features the major cities and locations of each section.

Heroes wants to find a way to travel between the surface and underground levels of Trudvang, finding new pathways across the world, new plots, enemies, allies, and upgrades. With the dwarven realm being mostly shutdown due to enemy incursion and political struggle, it is up to the heroes to open up, unlock, and gain access to key locations - through stories and choices in the campaign - and travel deeper into the dwarven kingdom.

The dark forces at the lower levels bring the shadow of a threat not only to the underground but to all of Trudvang. If left unchecked, the dark forces from Muspelheim may change the surface world with new world cards. On the other hand, by helping the dwarves in their plight, the Heroes may well be rewarded, not only with material help, but also by rallying peoples and resources that fight against the dark.

Your choices, your allegiances, and yours wants to shape your paths to explore Muspelheim!
