Update for Friday, May 16. We've begun fulfillment of Zombicide: White Death now that we've finally completed intake. It will take a few more days to get through all the pre-orders, but we're making good progress. In the meantime, we were able to finish up Super Boss Monster, Corps of Discovery and Mind MGMT, so we're taking those off the board. If you placed a pre-order, and haven't received an address confirmation, please reach out to us at customerservice@thegamesteward.com.
Deep Rock Galactic arrived, but several units were damaged in transit. Thankfully, we are able to ship all current pre-orders, but we won't be able to mark it in stock until replacement copies arrive. No other new arrivals this week, so the queue remains at: Zombicide: White Death.
STANDING DISCLAIMER RE: PRE-ORDER FULFILLMENT: We will not ship a pre-order more than 30 days old unless and until we receive an address confirmation request. Crowdfunded games are often limited edition collector's items, and we cannot risk the loss that occurs if a package is shipped to an address that is no longer valid for the customer. If you placed a pre-order with us, PLEASE check your e-mail for an address confirmation request, and reply at your earliest convenience. This will ensure that your pre-order is delivered in a timely manner. Note that all address confirmation requests go to the e-mail address on record for the order placed. It is the customer's responsibility to monitor the correct inbox to ensure timely responses to address confirmation requests.
As many of you may have heard by now, the US and China have agreed to a 90 day "pause" on the majority of tariffs, so the current rate for games imported into the US has dropped from 145% to 30%. This is still higher than the 0% that had been in place on January 1, but many publishers have decided to move forward on importing their games during this window, if possible.
Unfortunately, so are many other manufacturers in other industries who are racing to import their products before the window closes. As you can guess, this means demand for freight shipping has skyrocketed, and the prices for container shipping are jumping up as well, which offsets some of the tariff decrease. We share this just to give everyone a window into what is happening behind the curtains as publishers try to figure out the best strategy to import their products.
All of this means that we still don't have a good idea when new games are likely to arrive in our warehouse, or what the impact will be on the cost to us (and other backers). We will keep everyone up to date as we receive more information on game we're still waiting to receive.
We have confirmation that, Stars of Akarios, Calimala, Stupor Mundi, Tsuro and The Dark Quarter are in the US, and are actively in fulfillment, if not already in transit to our warehouse. We do not expect any unusual delays with these (although mundane delays in the pace of fulfillment occur all the time.).
re: Merchants Cove - as a reminder, Final Frontier Games announced that they are ceasing operations. Their fulfillment partner, QML, has physical possession of the games in the US, but was not paid to deliver the games. Accordingly, QML sent an invoice for the cost of fulfillment to backers so they still have the chance to receive their orders if they pay the extra cost (so effectively, backers will need to pay for shipping twice to receive their order). Although the cost is higher than we'd like, we will absorb the extra shipping cost so we can receive our shipment, and then fulfill all pre-orders to our customers as usual. The process is going slow, so we appreciate everyone's patience while QML begins the fulfillment process for those who have paid their respective invoices.
