2025-11-07 - Special Update on Endeavor: Deep Sea Deluxe Edition

This is a special update for folks who have pre-ordered (or are considering pre-ordering) Endeavor: Deep Sea Deluxe Edition.  We know that many people have been waiting months for their game, and are (rightfully) questioning when we will start shipping them.  The very short story is that the latest printing is at the fulfillment center, and should be arriving in the next few days.  We don't have a specific delivery date yet, but it should be very soon.

For those who are curious, this printing has had a long and complicated journey.  We were approached back in February to ask if we wanted to purchase additional units of Endeavor: Deep Sea Deluxe from a reprint that was scheduled to arrive in May or June.  We immediately said yes, and put in our order.  This reprint is not tied to the crowdfunding campaign for the original game or for the expansion that funded this Summer.  The publisher needed to print more due to the heightened demand after being nominated (and eventually winning) the Kennerspiel des Jahres award (also known as the "connoisseur/expert game of the year."

For reasons we don't fully understand, this latest print run has been repeatedly delayed.  From the manufacturing process to the shipping process to the import process and tariffs...the various delays all added up to several months.  Here we are in November, ten months after first placing our order, and we still don't have our copies!

But the games have finally arrived in the US, and are at the fulfillment centers warehouse, and orders are ready to be shipped.  We were told that our copies would ship last week.  And then...nothing. 

The fulfillment center is currently experiencing "technical difficulties" that are preventing them from shipping anything out the door.  This is not limited to Endeavor.  As best as we can tell, it is affecting all games currently sitting in their warehouse.  The exact quote we received on Monday was "Hey, just wanted you to know that [the fulfillment center] has emailed...that they are experiencing some internal issues that have paused their shipping for the moment. Not sure what is going on. But they have your order and were supposed to send it out last week."  On Thursday (yesterday), the message we received was "inquired this morning and there are major problems with [their] tech. They said that nothing is going out now."

We don't know any details about what is going on.  We don't know when the problems will be fixed.  We are 100% certain that the games will ship, though.  As is often the case for us, we just have to wait for the games to arrive.  We know this is not the level of specificity that many of you want right now, but we are being as transparent as possible.  And we will provide additional updates as we receive new information.
